Lounge Squatt Podcast #059 D.A.V.E. The Drummer

01:00:57
If you are into the harder end of Acid & Techno Music, you may have already come across one of D.A.V.E. The Drummer’s records. Hailing from the London illegal warehouse party scene that exploded in the 90’s, DJ & producer D.A.V.E. The Drummer started the techno label Hydraulix as an output for his production ideas. The label intended to bridge the gap between the Acid Techno of his previous productions and a darker form of techno that D.A.V.E. was experimenting with in the studio. Hydraulix made some big waves in the Hard Techno scene throughout the 2000’s and is still going strong with many of the, now digital, releases hitting the top ten in the Beatport Hard Techno Charts. Tracks from Hydraulix have found their way into the playlists of some of the worlds top DJs as well as keeping a huge following of underground Techno DJs across the globe. D.A.V.E’s recent music reflects a shift toward a darker stripped back techno sound and the label is still at the forefront of the techno scene winning respect from many DJs and taking on board fresh young artists as well as releasing tracks by seasoned Hydraulix regulars. Still a hard working DJ and Producer, D.A.V.E. is responsible for remixes and productions for many great techno labels including Fine Audio, Noom, Reklusive, Naked Lunch, Phobiq, Elektrax, Techburst, and of course Hydraulix, Apex and Mutate To Survive. Lounge Squatt Podcast #066 Lukr Range

01:02:35
Lukr range project was born surrounded by cold concrete and rusty bolts in the dark and old buildings in the east side of Berlin. She grew up in nightlife scene , learning from the amazing and huge performances which took place every weekend in the German capital. She started to perform as Dj in clubs such as About Blank, Arena and Suicide Circus dominating the floors with raw and aggressive techno . Her sets are always energetic and characterised by fast drums, punching kicks, metallic snares and jumping bass lines, creating a fluent, dark, hypnotic and deep journey through music. In 2017 she released her first techno Ep "Growing up" with the label “Sub Records” and collaborated with Sguzla Jr of “Groove Manipulation Recordings”. In the last year the continued discovering and experimentation in different kind of genres and dance floors made Lukr Range fall in love with Electro and Italo-Disco. She is a multifaceted artist and her aim is to play good music and create a comfortable atmosphere for the audience while being coherent with her musical taste. Right now she is working on different collaborations with other artists coming from the Soul and Industrial punk scene. She is looking forward to sharing her new creations soon. One of her favourite quotes by the top funky and soul vinyls collector Joaquim Paublo is : "Music leads you simultaneously into the field of literature, art, and politics. It encourages you to study and understand social change". Lukr Range thinks that music has a incredible power over the society and can highlight strong messages. Music is alive. Lounge Squatt podcast #029 by Rubsilent • Info Artist: A veteran DJ from Istanbul, Turkey. A part-time DJ and a full-time vinyl junkie, Rubsilent started collecting records back in 1996 and it has been his obsession ever since. It is interesting to note that he had actually moved to Chicago for University in year 2000, which he notes was partially motivated by his desire to pay a musical pilgrimage to this enormous factory of house music. He moved back to Istanbul in 2007 with a much advanced record collection and inevitably a better knowledge of the rich musical heritage of the sprawling US megacity that is rarely disputed to be the birthplace of house music. "I enjoy manipulating tracks with longer transitions, taking listeners on long journeys, never limiting my selections to a specific sub-genre. My primary focus is on House and Techno and anything in between, as my mixes contain a blend of new tunes mixed with timeless out-of-print cuts from yesteryear and yesterdecades" rubsilent May 2017 Tracklist 1. LNS002 Nothing is Real - Hidden City

06:00
The second release on Lounge Squatt is shaped by the Berlin-based, Italian techno duo @nothingisrealproject with a guest appearance by @Knobs-1 . In this project Nothing is Real shows how they have carefully developed their production from previous solo projects within bass music, into a heart pounding deep techno soundscape drawn for the peak hours. The EP consists of four tightly programmed techno rollers. From the gut- wrenching bass of Through Your Veins to NiR 's relentless acceleration. 1458 seconds, four chapters about imagination and imaginable through the natural complexity of vibrations, feelings and stories. Four short tales of how reality, chained in confined spaces, framed by blurred outlines, is left free to build pictures. The energy is never the same and turns the objects of the destruction into something so peaceful. Waiting for the relief that comes with the daylight. Tracklist: 1) Nothing is Real – Hidden City 2)Nothing is Real & Knobs – Border 3)Nothing is Real – Through Your Veins 4)Nothing is Real – NIR _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Nothing Is Real An Italian techno duo and one live visuals based in Berlin, Nothing Is Real is a collaboration between long-time bass music producers, D-Operation Drop and Spacedrome and Omar Eox with a fundamentally clean-cut focus on the live facets of techno music and digital arts taking care of building up and producing 3D Video Mapping, Drawing on early influences from sub-heavy sound system culture, through the energetic UK styles of the past 20 years, and on to the pulsating techno scene in their new homecity, Nothing Is Real fuses a vast musical inspiration and with years of production experience to create dynamic, raw and driving techno. Having spent most waking hours since the project’s on-set in early 2016, building elements, writing tracks, videos and enhancing their live performance. facebook.com/Nothingisrealproject @nothingisrealproject vimeo.com/nothingisrealproject twitter.com/NIRproject instagram.com/nothingisrealproject _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Lounge Squatt www.facebook.com/pg/loungesquatt @loungesquatt www.loungesquatt.com release date : 03 november 2017 ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Mastered by : Dadub Studio www.facebook.com/pg/dadubstudio _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Graphic : Pista design : Natassja Velociraptor natassjavelociraptor.carbonmade.com _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ © Lounge Squatt 2017 All rights reserved

Lounge Squatt Podcast #047 N01r

01:00:58
María Silva (N01R) is from A Coruña, but has been working beyond the Spanish borders since2003 (she has been living in Berlin for the past four years). As well as producing her own music and djing, N01R explores other creative fields such as photography, video and collage. On March 15th, she will release her second album, Ancestral (Nøvak). The N01R project was born in 2005, with the release of her first demo of 5 tracks on the New York based label Machinekunt. In 2010 she published her first track Noise Gen on Audiotrauma. In this era, her sound was focused more on noise and industrial, then all this rage was transformed into a more nostalgic and sensitive beauty, which coincides with her move to Germany. In 2014 she released her first single Electrical Fields at Cold Beats Records, before publishing her first ep on Unknown Pleasures, Are Stars in 2015. Also released the track Rituals under the label aufnahme + wiedergabe, November 2014, White Circles Compilation. In 2017 she released her first album in InClub, Frío Polar, before publishing the second one Ancesteral on Nøvak in 2018, in addition to releasing a cassette on Infidel Bodies with remixes of Rituals by Huren, Katran, Delusions and Assassani. "The N01R project has always been described as experimental, without having a specific label of a single genre, always having Dark Ambient, Power Noise, and in recent years, Minimal Wave with analogical roots influences. N01R has taken her music to museums in several cities, exhibiting experimental music installations and projections. She likes to create her own art installations, combining light and sound, putting the visitor in a dark room with sounds that she has composed and allowing them to interpret what they are experiencing in their own way, making us think about ourselves from a philosophical point of view. She wants to make the listener aware of how important sound is in our lives. Another great influence of N01R’s Industrial/EBM Music, both for the visual concept and for the rhythm, which are one of the main influences for N01R. N01R is the echo of a moment, the nostalgia embodied Industrial sounds, video or photography trying to capture all those feelings in sonic waves ". (UP) "N01R brings a sound that is both visceral and enigmatic. Effortlessly crossing the division of genres, the material is categorizable in different styles, be it the experimentalism of noisy music, the texture of the minimal wave or the power of industrial. N01R knack for production is truly standalone. "(IC). "Ancestral is my second album: the transition of past, present and future of my sound since it contains songs that I composed years ago as well as themes that I composed in recent months. The sound of Ancestral covers different musical styles, from minimal wave to noise and dark ambient. Thematic ritual in connection with the universe and the human being ". (N01R) As a DJ, she has being playing in different clubs throughout Spain, Portugal and Germany, and is a resident at Psychedelic Party in Berlin, also playing in well know parties like Gegen (Kit Kat Club, Berlin) The Berlin based DJ delivers a palette of underworld sounds drifting between industrial and hard hitting techno, creating a dark and violent atmosphere of raw sonority. She mixes Techno with EBM and sometimes Electro, her sessions are well known for keeping the dancefloor in constant movement and energetic beat. tracklist 1) Umwelt - Beauty Of Collapse - Shipwrec 2) Visonia- Amethyst City - Electronic Emergencies 3) Głós - Man Is The Cruelest Animal - Ressort Imprint 4) Two Sided Agency - Nostalgia For Lost Futures - Two Sided Agency 5) Oscar Mulero - Color - Warmuprecordings 6) Asymptote - Chain Reaction (Reeko Remix) - Suburban Avenue 7) Developer - Cosmic Penetration - Developer Archive 8) X 9) Rory St. John - Suicidechain - Voitax 10) Rumenige - Eka - Mord 11) X 12) X

Lounge Squatt Podcast #026 Guestmix By Avni Leka

01:02:41
Electronic music has always been a community, a hideout for minorities and freaks all around the world. In our community we have always celebrated love trough music and fought with music all the forms of hate belonging to this mad world. On the 1st of January during the early hours of the new year our community has been targeted and hit hard in Istanbul in a deadly attack that shocked (once again) our community and the rest of the world. We decided to do something and got in touch with Avni, a record collector and music nerd that has been part of the Berlin nightlife for quite long, a real activist of peace and tolerance that now has been living in the city of Istanbul for the last year. To pay a tribute to the city, to the multicultural beautiful place that it is, to pay a tribute to the music and to celebrate Love and life to strike back the games of power and hate that affects us, here you go with one hour of records selected and mashed from someone who has been always respected from a huge rooster of artists for his deep knowledge of music and warm heart. We proudly have on our podcast series for January 2017 Avni Leka, enjoy. Lounge Squatt podcast #026 guestmix by Avni Leka Tracklist 1. LNS002 Nothing is Real - Trough Your Veins

05:18

LNS003 • Monday Slayer – Crochet

• LNS003 • Monday Slayer – Crochet (( OUT NOW! )) In another dimension, where there is no night and day, obscurity has another shape. Crochet is the debut EP from the duo Monday Slayer, an experimental techno pattern with tribal rhythms and intense bass lines. ‘Crochet’ is the first track of the EP and immediately defines the style of both, formed by syncopated and aggressive rhythms. The following tracks are ‘Aibohphobia’, an irrational fear of palindromes, and ‘Dismiss’, a dark journey through the lower frequencies, both rich in dynamic bass lines and futuristic soundscapes. And the last track featured in the EP is a remix by Elle, a brilliant and hypnotic representation of ‘Crochet’. Tracklist: 1. Crochet (Original Mix) 2. Aibohphobia 3. Dismiss 4. Crochet (Elle Remix) Monday Slayer The duo first met in Bristol in 2012 where they started sharing their knowledge about their different tastes in DnB sub-genres. They had been working together for a few years under the moniker of Ntropy, focussing on the deep and dark side of drum and bass music, when they decided to develop Monday Slayer as a side project to expand their music boundaries opening up to techno and test their moody atmospheres at a different tempo. facebook.com/MondaySlayer soundcloud.com/mondayslayer residentadvisor.net/dj/mondayslayer Monday Slayer ___________________________________________ Lounge Squatt facebook.com/loungesquatt www.loungesquatt.com release date: 5th March 2018 _________________________________________________ Mastered by: Dadub Studio ___________________________________________ Video: Spazio Vuoto Graphic: Pista Cover Design: Natassja Velociraptor www.natassjavelociraptor.carbonmade.com _______________________________________________ © Lounge Squatt 2018 All rights reserved

Lounge Squatt Podcast #034 by Synkopheit Liveset ecorded at staub 29.07.17 Berlin Founder and owner of techno label Arkita Records, Paolo Pizzuto is an italian artist, producer and sound engineer. Living in Berlin since 2011, he created Synkopheit, a live only music project, developed around the kick and its distortion and space, as a “metaphor against society´s dictates” . Synkopheit´s sound is solid, precise and while playing live, the audience is driven into a dark, intense and emotional experience. "Syncope is a transient loss of consciousness, rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous resolution." In this brief medical description of the syncope phenomenon is summed the basic concept of the project Synkopheit. @synkopheit www.residentadvisor.net/record-label.aspx?id=11625
