Trip to my Kanaka bar claim prospecting for bedrock gold. It is easy to find gold in gravel on the Fraser, but the stories of pockets on bedrock have me in search of cracks full of gold. http://www.bc-claims.no-ip.ca/

This video explains how to fill out a "Statement of Work" also known as a SoW. This video is very specific for Claims in B.C Canada and would not be of much use to anyone outside this area.

Was able to stop at a couple claims on my way down to the Minerals Exploration Round-Up this year. This claim just south of Yale has great access to the river, and nice gold. The only draw back is that the banks are a bit steep. but many places to run the recirculating sluice. Beautiful winter's day on the Fraser River.

Spent a few hours today checking out the new cell I got on Blakeburn creek. I know the two cells above it quite well. I was seeing today if the lower cell was as good as the upper two. I did not find any big coarse gold like I find in the upper cells. But much more fine gold then I usually find in this creek.

Took the family out to check out the new Tulameen claim. It is just outside Princeton on the Trans-Canada Trail (Old KVR Railway). Found some gold and some amber. More info at: http://www.bc-claims.no-ip.ca or email me at: [email protected]

First trip to the Rock Creek claim. I have high hopes for this one. It has about half a dozen adits of one sort or another along the 1 km of creek. The first hard rock gold discovery of the McKinney Camp area happens to be right in the middle of this claim. On the Victoria Crown grant. This and a fairly large Placer operation just down stream makes me think that the canyon might be great for small scale placer. http://www.bc-claims.no-ip.ca

Checking out my new claim in the town of Hope. This claim has both the Fraser river and the Coquihalla River running trough it. Nice wide open gravel bars with fine gold throughout. The claim boarders the local recreational panning reserve but still has ample land for prospecting and good area for running a high banker.

My main Fraser claim down river is treating me well, so looks like I will sell off the Lytton claim. Just went for a trip down onto the Lytton claim after mining for the day. Hard to sell this one because I know how good it is. But I need to focus on the other claim. http://www.bc-claims.no-ip.ca/

Hills Bar Gold was first discovered during the Fraser River Gold Rush near Yale on March 23, 1858, when placer gold was found by one James Moore who was travelling up the Fraser and decided to camp overnight on Hills Bar. He noticed the glint of gold on the Moss of a rock near the river and decided to try a pan.The gold of Hills Bar had been found and the screams of joy coming from James Moore echoed down the Fraser to Hope and Beyond. In this vid learn more about the history of Hills Bar and the modern state of prospecting on the great golden ground. If you enjoyed this video and would like to see more videos show. There are not many places in the lower mainland where a prospector can find the colour close to Vancouver, British Columbia but there are a few. In this video, we show you where you can find it. Quick walk around the East Gate claim I have named "Big Flakes" due to the large flakes found in this area. Very nice looking bedrock protruding out of the gravel bars and right across the whole rive at the corner. Looks promising.

Checking out my second bedrock fraser river claim. Still trying to decide on which claim to keep from myself.

Quick prospecting trip to a new claim on rock creek. Picked up this claim for a specific purpose. It is an easy claim to get to on a well known gold creek. I hope to use this claim to take people to during Greenwoods "Founders Day" and maybe also the "Rock Creek Fair" I hopefully will be running some gold panning lessons and games at these two events and possibly some trips to this claim with people learning to gold pan. At least that is my plan right now.

Now that summer is here, and the weather is nice, I thought I would return to the Tranquille claim I hit earlier this year when I forgot my GPS. I was close last time. But this time I had the GPS so I was right on, and had some more time so me and some friends stayed and panned for a bit.

Spent the day on my new Fraser river claim just north of Llilooet by Fountain Mountain. Had a great day panning for gold in the most spectacular looking area on the mighty Fraser. I was able to find my first Fraser river gold nugget. And a bit of placer mercury. All in all a fantastic day.

Finally got to get into my Lawless tributary claim. It is a bit of a walk into the claim, but worth it when you get there. Great bedrock claim with unbelievable mineralization through all the rocks, Quartz seams and pyrites EVERYWHERE. Panning did not produce much gold, but some. However I need to come back with a metal detector and check out all the bedrock.

Trip to the ol' Fraser River gold claim, and a first test of the hopper and hog mats. We set up the sluice box on a gravel bar in the Fraser canyon south of Lytton BC. Follow the trip from the beginning to the end where I do a bit of panning and process the cons in the blue bowl. At the end you can see the final amount!

Just a few video clips of about 3 times at our claim on the Fraser River in october and november 2013 playing around looking for the best places to find a good amount of gold First year prospecting, always learning and trying new things, will add more video's if the ground isn't frozen solid like our last time there, 4 hour round trip and half a tank of gas for frozen ground... always fun

Hit the second Thompson river claim today. Bit of a steep hike in, even steeper out. But it paid off with a nice picker. And I got to watch some river rafters go through the rapids.

Headed back to the Jolly creek recreation site to check out the rock creek claim now that the snow is gone. Gold panned and tested ground for a few hours, then headed up to another claim to check out what the water fall looked like in full run-off. One the way home drove through the historic town site of Camp McKinney, which these days is nothing more than a garbage dump.

http://www.bc-claims.no-ip.ca/ Three of us today working the claim. Tried to get the highbanker going today, but could not keep the discharge water from making its way back to the river. So in total only ran the highbanker for about an hour. Next time we will take it to the other side of the claim where we can run it all day long.

6 cell on two claims up by Lillooet. Bit of a steep access but quite close to road. Typical Fraser river gold, lots of fine with the odd larger piece. One nice section of bedrock ended up getting a nice picker from.

Join with us again prospecting in the Sierra Nevadas of California with Garrett ATX and AT Gold metal detectors. On this occasion we explored the Forks of Butte Creek. No nuggets came to light but we got some nice California gold in the pan and enjoyed the cameraderie of like-minded prospectors. As a bonus Dave shows us a half-ounce nugget he detected previously with his AT Gold. A big thank you to Joey Wilson, Adventures in Prospecting of Oroville, CA, for organizing this great adventure. Also thanks to Steve Moore from Garrett, and Recce Muru of Garrett Australia for his great camera work. www.garrett.com www.garrettaustralia.com.au www.nqexplorers.com www.facebook.com/nqexplorers

Gold Prospecting in British Columbia NOT Gold Mining. This trip over the course of 3 weeks was just my first initial exploration of the area as I may be moving to Kimberly later this year or early next Spring for a 2 to 3 year Building Construction job. I`m a Framer/Carpenter by trade. While there I have hopes of switching Trades.

First trip into the Fraser river claim by Hope. Great looking claim. Did a bit of gold panning and found some amazing gold. Unfortunately, previous claim owners left quite a mess in a couple camps on the claim.

Checking out another claim on the Similkameen. This is one cell up from a claim I know well. And sure enough, both claims have lots of very fine gold. In lots of coarse black sand. This would be a perfect claim for the gold cube.

I come along with my friend Craig as he tries to get to his gold claim on the Fraser River to do some gold panning. On the first day, we tried to scout out a way down, but ended up taking a local's directions down to the river about a km downstream of the claim. On the second day, we tried to get down the most promising draw, but got caught up in some nasty terrain and turned back. Incidentally, we weren't the first animals to get lured into the draw. The place was full of bones. I combined footage from the two days into one, in case you are wondering why I say two days, but only show one. I didn't shoot much on Day 2.
