Packaging Django Apps for Distribution on PyPI

22:27
Laura Hampton https://2018.northbaypython.org/schedule/presentation/4/ One of the strengths of Django is that it allows you to use apps created by other developers, so you don’t have to spend time rewriting something that someone else has already written. However, creating Python packages for distribution via the Python Package Index is a process that is unfamiliar to most developers. In this talk, you will learn about creating a reusable Django app. The talk will cover how a Django app differs from a package like requests, and how an app interacts with models and URLs in an existing project. While the talk will include a discussion of how to upload a Django app to PyPI, the parts that discuss how to make reusable Django apps will be useful to developers who are working at organizations where they may not be able to open-source their code. This talk is intended for Django developers who have some familiarity with how Django works, and an interest in code reuse and packaging. I am aiming this talk at people who have completed a basic Django tutorial such as the Django Girls tutorial or the tutorial in the Django documentation. A Python conference north of the Golden Gate North Bay Python is a single-track conference with a carefully curated set of talks representing the diverse Python community and their different areas of interest. If a topic is less to your interest, or you've met some people you really want to sit down and chat with, we'll have plenty of areas away from the main theatre to catch up and chat. Our goal is to keep prices as low as possible. That means we won't be catering lunch. Instead, you can look forward to extra-long lunch breaks you can use to explore all of the great food options around the venue.

Fix "E : Unable to Locate Package" Error In Kali Linux

03:18
In this video I will show you how we can fix. Unable to find package error in Kali Linux. First after installing a clean Kali Linux the sources.list contains only tow repository, and if you try to do update it maybe update a few apps and if you try to install a new app 90% it won't and it will give you a message saying: E: Unable to locate package, or, E: Package 'gimp' has no installation candidate. For example if you want to install a software using apt-get command, for demonstration purposes. I will install gimp which is a open-source software for raster graphics editor used for image retouching and editing, and I'm using a p t get command for installing gimp. Now you can see that I got an error saying, E: Package 'gimp' has no installation candidate. so let's fix this error by editing the sources.list file . The simplest way is to edit the sources.list file located in e t c / a p t / to do so open the Terminal and type ( leafpad / e t c / a p t / sources.list ) after this commend, you will get something like this... now remove every line of them and open your web browser and go to the link given on screen or in the description below. or you can simple google Kali Linux repository. here we got the repository of Kali Linux rolling and if you are using any older version. Then scroll down and you will get repository for that version also, copy the repository and paste it in the source file, and then save it. go back to the terminal and type a p t - get update. It can take some time depending upon your Internet speed. after it finsh updating we can install GIMP using A P T get command. As you can see it’s working fine now and you can install Gimp and update your system without any error. Help and subscribe for more tips and tricks

In this script we will see how we can convert a python file to binary file or we can say .py to .exe file. Binary file can be executed in any system without installing the actual scripting language or any module. We will use a python module called pyinstaller to convert a .py file to .exe file. They allow you to create and share documents that contain live code, equations, visualizations and markdown text. This can all be run from directly in the browser. It is an essential tool to learn if you are getting started in Data Science, but will also have tons of benefits outside of that field. Encrypt and decrypt text with EncryptPad 0.3.2.5

01:18
Support installibre on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/libre Project GitHub repo: https://github.com/evpo/EncryptPad Today we are taking a look at EncryptPad, version 0.3.2.5, a text editor designed specifically for securely encrypting text. At the moment, EncryptPad is available as a PPA for Ubuntu and Mint, as an AUR package in Arch, and as a portable executable. It can also be compiled on Windows and macOS. Text may be encrypted using a passphrase, key file or both. A variety of encryption options are available as well, with support for CAST5, TripleDES, AES128 and AES156 ciphers and SHA-1, SHA-256 and SHA-512 hashing algorithms. Encrypted files are compressed with zlib or ZIP formats. The application includes a random key generator, or an existing key may be supplied. One possible weakness is mentioned by the developer, however. Because unencrypted text is stored in memory while the file is open, it is possible to extract it from a memory dump or with other methods, but this problem is hardly avoidable for applications of this sort. While I cannot vouch for its cryptography, EncryptPad appears to be a solid solution for storing or exchanging encrypted files across all major platforms.
